Marissa Cardosi, MSW, LCSWA
Mental Health Therapist
Beginning therapy can feel uncomfortable or uncertain, especially when life starts to feel overwhelming, emotionally exhausting, or difficult to manage alone. I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely supported, understood, and able to speak openly without judgment. I view therapy as a collaborative process and believe healing and growth happen when clients feel safe enough to be honest about both their struggles and strengths.
I work with children, teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, school-related stress, family conflict, life transitions, and challenges with emotional regulation.
My approach is flexible, relational, and tailored to each individual client. Some clients need a space to process emotions and feel heard, while others benefit from learning practical coping skills and strategies they can apply outside of sessions. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based therapy to help clients better understand themselves, navigate difficult emotions, and build healthier patterns over time.
I value authenticity, trust, and connection within the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to help clients feel more confident in themselves, more equipped to handle life’s challenges, and more connected to who they are.
